What we collect when you browse this site or send an inquiry, why we keep it, and how to have it corrected or deleted. Written in plain language, and limited to what we need to run the business.
Who we are
This website is operated by Zhongshan Biaoqi Houseware Co., Ltd., which trades as BIKI Care Products. We are registered in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China, at 38 Huazhong Road, Yongning, Xiaolan Town, and we manufacture shoe care, car care and home care products for brands, distributors and wholesalers.
For anything in this policy — a request, a question, a complaint — write to feedback@bikishoecare.com. The mailbox is monitored during China business hours (GMT+8), and we answer in English or Chinese.
What we collect
We collect what an inquiry or a visit actually produces. There is no account system on this site and no payment page.
When you send an inquiry
- Contact details — name, business email, and a phone or messaging number if you give one.
- Company details — company name, website, country and target market.
- Project details — the category, volumes, packaging, artwork and deadlines you describe.
- Files you attach — artwork, reference photos, specifications or spreadsheets.
When you browse
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on page. This is what a web server logs and what analytics records.
- Cookie data — see the cookies section below.
We do not ask for special category data — health, biometric, political or religious information — and we ask that you do not send it to us.
Why we use it
Each use below has a legal basis under the GDPR where that law applies; the same purpose applies everywhere else.
- To answer your inquiry and quote — necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To run an order — necessary to perform the contract: specification, samples, production, shipping documents and after-sales (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep commercial records — our legitimate interest in running the business, and our legal obligation to keep accounting and export records (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f)).
- To improve the site — our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used, measured on aggregated data (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To send you updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. What is stored is functional:
- Preference storage — remembers interface choices such as language, or a notice you have dismissed.
- Analytics — where analytics is enabled on the live domain, it is configured without cross-site profiling and with IP truncation. Aggregate only; we do not build a profile of an individual visitor.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser without losing access to any page. Blocking analytics does not change how the site works.
Who we share it with
We do not sell contact data and we do not rent a list to anyone. Data reaches a third party only where the work needs it:
- Hosting and email — the web host and mail provider that store the site and the mailbox.
- Freight and customs — forwarders, carriers and brokers, who need consignee and contact details to move an order.
- Banking — our bank and yours, for payment and documentary credit.
- Testing and certification — laboratories and inspection bodies, where a project needs a test report in your name.
- Professional advisers — auditors, accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities — where a law, a court, or a customs or tax authority requires disclosure.
Each of them receives the minimum needed for its task, and none may use your data for its own marketing.
Where your data goes
We are based in China, so an inquiry sent from Europe, the UK or North America is transferred to and stored in China. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, a transfer out of the EEA or the UK relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK Addendum where relevant), together with the technical and organisational measures described below.
Our web host and mail provider may process data in other jurisdictions under their own safeguards. If you need to know which mechanism covers a specific transfer, ask us and we will confirm it in writing.
How long we keep it
We keep a record for as long as it is useful and then delete it. The periods below are the standard ones; a specific contract, a legal hold or an open claim can extend them.

An inquiry that never became an order is deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
Your rights
Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you can ask us to:
- confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is inaccurate;
- delete it, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it;
- restrict or object to a particular use;
- hand it to you, or to another controller, in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw a consent you gave earlier.
Write to the address in the first section. We answer within one month, and we may ask for proof of identity where the request concerns personal data we cannot otherwise verify. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to your local supervisory authority — in China, the Cyberspace Administration of China; in the EU or the UK, the authority where you live or work.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry mail and order files is limited to the sales and documentation staff who need it, behind individual accounts and, where the provider supports it, two-factor authentication. Backups are encrypted at rest.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects your data and creates a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the competent authority without undue delay, as the applicable law requires.
Children
This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top of the page is the date of the last substantive change, and the previous version is available on request. Continuing to use the site after an update means the updated policy applies.
